Avant | Hypothetical movie poster release series
Models: Erin Marynowski, Tri Vo

The year is 1854. Victorian Europe had survived the industrial revolution — and had transformed a society into one of flourishing invention and scientific advances — yet with extreme societal circumstances. When the country erupts in revolution and falls to pieces, two unlikely heroes step forward to change the fate of their home.

Nostalgia | A short story
Model: Erin Marynowski

It’s funny, you think.

How times works. Where you are. Who you’ve become.

You’ve have scenes of humble, predicted memory, rippling and tearing at your chest the like the way you remember how dreams could.

Naturally, you’ll begin to wonder when it began.

When you knew you could feel. Before you knew you could think.

You’d wrap yourself in the stars at night, if you could see them. You would blanket yourself in the universe.

You would cradle the moon.

Or maybe you’d meet an enemy. A personified embodiment of self-unanimous dislike, but it pulled at a string that, for some reason, made you feel alive.

And as reluctant as you are to admit it, this scares you.

Because you’ve lost track of how many people it took to become you.

It’s funny, you think.

The Wright Brothers | Interactive Folio for the iPhone 4

A folio project for the iPhone 4 based off of a historical figure from my Design Procedures class. The text isn’t mine, as the focus was primarily on the design, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

Done with Adobe InDesign. (CS6)

Hmmm

I was looking through old posts and I’m actually stunned to find myself really drawn to working with a lot more color now than I did before. A lot of my older stuff is primarily ink and graphite, so I think it’s sort of an interesting transition as I become more and more attracted to digital media and, interestingly, gouache. It’s weird, I never really thought I’d become so focused on putting more of it into my work. Always thought I’d stick with ink. (Not that I stopped loving it, it’s just that I realize I have room for more~)

Also I kind of acknowledge that it’s weird that I have two different posts back to back. I’m really scattered at the moment I guess

So messy.

I just realized how disorganized everything is on here. *pulls hair* One day I’m seriously just gonna have to sit myself down with a slice of pie and just clean things up. Please bear with me! <3

30 Day Drawing Challenge: Day 2 - Favorite AnimalEuropean Starling
Such a pretty birrrrrrrrd. Sorry for the sketchiness.. I really wasn’t in the mood for intense rendering and I’m sort of dabbling in a new photoshop technique. This is also sort of a challenge for me to keep at something like this since I really have a hard time staying dedicated to challenges but uhh anyway! Let the games begin.Oh uh I guess on a further note the portrait I posted earlier could be the first entry since it’s supposed to be a portrait of yourself *cheats* *hides*

I miss traditional media

I think I’ll get back on it. As much as I like busying myself with experimenting with digital painting, there’s something truly raw about the tangible media.

More artings. Missed drawing figures and still kind of a work in progress. Critiques please?
